  [S14] Obituary, The Chattanooga Times, Monday, January 25, 1988. WHALEN - RAYMOND JR. "SONNY," 47 of Linda Lane, Chattanooga, died Sunday in a local hospital. He was co-owner and operator of Whalen Dry Wall Co. Survivors include his parents, Raymond "Rip" and Zora Durand Whalen Sr., Soddv-Daisy; two sons, Bart Whalen, Hixson, and Brad Whalen, Soddy-Daisv; daughter, Wendy Evett, Turlock, Calif.; brother, Jimmy Whalen, Soddv-Daisy; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
