Easter McClain EASTER BROWNING McCLAIN Easter Browning McClain, 84, of Asheville and Titusvllle, Fla., died Monday, Sept. 8, 1997. A native of Swain County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel R. and Lady Lllas Justice Patterson. She was also preceded In death by her husbands, Charley R. Browning In 1964 and Charles A. McClain In 1993. She was a former member of West Asheville Baptist Church and retired In 1980 from the American Red Cross In Washington, D.C Mrs. McClain Is survived by her daughter, Nancy Browning Adams of Cary; son, C.R. "Bob" Browning of Titusvllle, Fla.; stepdaughters, Kathy Profltt of Orlando, Fla.; stepson, Henry McClain of Ft. Myers, Fla.; three sisters, Hester Ab-ernathy of Virginia, Flonnle Redmon of Alabama and Bunt Raid of California; brother, Sam Patterson of Candler; 13 grandchildren; 13 greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday In the chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. James H. Johnson, Buddy Corbin and Luther Os-ment officiating. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Friday In Swain Memorial Park in Bryson City. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Groce Funeral Home.
