Robbinsville
Carolyn Jean Holder, 46 of Rt. 2, died Sunday in a Swain County Hospital.
A native of Swain County, she was a daughter of Eva Dalrymple Jenkins of Bryson City and the late Walter Jenkins.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Garl Holder; a son, Gary Holder of Hendersonville; two daughters, Cindy Bradshaw of Robbinsville and Connie Sampson of Hendersonville; six brothers, James and Paul Jenkins of Salt Lake City, Utah, Robert Jenkins of Virginia, Jack Jenkins of Brandywine, Md., Billy Jenkins of Bryson City and Wayne Jenkins of Florence, SC; a sister, Mildred Buchanan of Salt Lake City, Utah; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Stecoah Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Revs. Dee Cook and Lennox Hedrick will officiate. burial will be in Holder Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Townson-Smith Funeral Home, where the body will remain until 30 minutes before services.
