Martha Ella O'Farrell, 82, of Mountain Iron, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at her home.
She was born to John and Estelle Jenkins on Oct. 6, 1924, in Worland, Mo. She attended Pleasanton High School. Martha married Raymond Kelly and had three children. She later married Hugh O'Farrell and had two additional children. Martha and Hugh lived in Idaho before making their home in Embarrass in 1953. She had resided for the last eight years in Mountain Iron. She worked for some years as a cook in a local restaurant and also did housekeeping for various clients. She was involved with TOPS, the Pike-Sandy Sewing Club, and various community activities. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing and traveling with her husband Hugh. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves a legacy of love.
Survivors include daughters, Margaret Bahr of Bemidji, Linda (Ray) McCulley of Parker, Kan., and Karen (Dennis) Rundlett of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sons, John (Eva) Kelly of Pleasanton, Kan., and Wally (Donna) O'Farrell of Embarrass; brother, Kenneth Jenkins of Frontenac, Kan.; sister, Florence Seward of Harrisonville, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many, many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hugh in 2000; sisters, Grace, Edith, Onie, Margaret, Josephine, Charlotte, Mary, Pearl, Ruth, Adeline, and Geneva; brothers, James, and John Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Joshua Kortes.
