Cecil S. Jenkins, 78, of Spring City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Cecil proudly served in the U. S. Army as a paratrooper in the Korean War. He retired from Ironton Iron after 45 years. Cecil was an avid outdoorsman, gardener, and mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved dog, Skipper.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Ronald Ray Jenkins and Richard Jenkins; brother, Basil Jenkins.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Lucy ?Christine? Jenkins; son, Todd Jenkins; daughters, Debbie, Becky, Kathy; step-children, Donnie (Sheila) King, Linda (Doug) Oliver; brother, Ronald Jenkins; several nieces and nephews, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Andy Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is after 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
