Violet, her mother, her brother Gene, Caywood's son Richard and Richard's wife Alice (the couple lived in Florida) went to see Caywood in a prison hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. Her memory of the meeting is that Caywood was the tallest man she had ever seen.
