Lorene Petty, 103 years old, of Soddy Daisy, TN, passed away at a local health care facility on June 10, 2017.
Mrs. Petty lived a long life being the mother of six generations. She loved her church, Rechoboth Baptist Church, where she was a member. She loved reading her Bible, her family, her flowers, gardening, canning, cooking and sewing.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James A. Petty; her sons, Charles Norman Petty and Bobby Gene Petty; sisters, Mildred Gross and Annie Vandergriff; her brothers, Otis, Arthur, Jimmy, Roy, Warren, Raymond and Charles Uren; and three grandchildren, Clint, Bobby and Raylene Petty.
Lorene is survived by her daughter, Ruth Greene; three sons, Marvin, Donald and David Petty; a sister-in-law, Barbara Uren; ten grandchildren and spouses; fifteen great-grandchildren and spouses; seventeen great-great-grandchildren; five great-great-great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; her special friends at Grace Health Care and a special friend, Catherine Dye.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Williamson & Sons funeral Home with Reverend Alan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Rhea Memory Gardens. Visitation is 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Her grandchildren are serving as pallbearers.
