DORRANCE, Kan. -- Vernon Koetkemeyer, 80, of Dorrance, Kan., died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wilson, Kan. Burial will be in Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Dubuque, Kan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Foster Mortuary in Wilson, and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the church or cemetery.
Mr. Koetkemeyer was born Aug. 9, 1921, in Russell County, Kan.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Cook of Tulsa, Okla., and Jane M. Kohtz of Hays, Kan.; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Doris Goad of Great Bend, La., and Mildred Fredrick of Wilson, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene, on Oct. 1, 1995, and two brothers, Lloyd and Bernard.
